Kay this sounds stupid and everything, but I thought it'd be a simple and subtle way to show people we're here.

Basically everyone has to use the computers at uni sometimes, and I actually use them alot.  Alot of the time I forget how to find my flinders email, but thankfully alot of the time someone's added it to the computer's favourites.  You'd be surprised at how many people check the favourites for that elusive email link and msn web messenger.

I think it'd be a good idea that when you're on a uni computer you should put the flinders students website on the favourites list.  That way if someone looks at the favourites they'll find the site.  It's not a huge drastic awareness plan but it'd be there if anyone needed it.  I've been adding them onto the favourites of computers I visit for a while, actually.  I'm always in the Library, though.  This site has people from all different campusses. 

We've got 189 members.  If everyone who visited this site posted a favourite on whatever computer they're on...

I just thought it was an interesting idea, that's all.

I hadn’t seen this one before or I would have said something.
Changing the homepages of the Library computers on a large scale (like karl is proposing)  is going to seriously piss some of the ICT people. While they might not be able to pin the “crime” on you they should be able (with a bit of research) track down who I am and lay the blame firmly on me.
So before anyone does anything too rash please please think of that.

In terms of promotion I have some ideas and projects coming up. But right now I have a pubcrawl and a killer essay to organise. SO more about that latter.
