Sure my car has air-conditioning, but if I have to get inside it after a long day and have my skin pretty much peeling off due to the unholy heat coming off the steering wheel, the gear stick and the seats... The changes imposed on the air conditioning systems by the Power Load Management System will result in a higher temperature within some air conditioned spaces (temperatures may rise from the normal set point of 22oC to 28oC on very hot days of 40oC). The irony of climate change - use your airconditioning more due to the ongoing heat. At least we've now got 20% GreenPower accredited electricity here (well, going into the grid anyway ... ). If you're already with Origin for your gas, you can switch over to Origin 20% GreenPower electricitand they'll waive the normally $1 a week fixed charge, plus give you a low-flow showerhead and 6 energy-saving light globes. But wait, there's more! They'll also 100% offset the carbon emissions from your gas consumption. But if somehow as a starving student you can afford 100% GreenPower, do it today. It's quite expensive though. And Dave, me tomatas are hanging in there in this heat. Plenty of mushroom compost and breaking one's back with a watering can daily makes sure of that.
