I've been finding a part time job for quite a long time without any result. :'(
i trid many ways to find one , but still  bad news.

Could anyone share your experiences in finding a part time job?

Finding part time work is hard in Australia if you speak English as a second language. I hate admit it but there is a lot of prejudice out there. Things have gotten harder since the employment service shut down.

I suggest that you apply for a night fill job stacking shelves in a supermarket. It isn’t glamorous work but it pays well enough and it is not too hard a job to get. :)

I remember that I worked pretty hard to get my first job. In the end I got a job making pizzas in a cheapo pizza place (pedro’s). Once you have worked (in Australia) I think it is easier to find more work.

I agree with Dave though, late night refilling supermarket shelfs is probably the easiest job to get.

OH god. I know two places in adelaide both of which i work at that are screaming for more employees. Hey I get offered more hours than I can handle. The work is easy and the bosses are flexible.

It is a shame that there is not some service that could help businesses connect with university students seeking work  :P

You're definitely behind the eightball if your English isn't good...

But AFAIK the employment service is still running, albeit with a name change -  I used them yesterday.  They tend to advertise hospitality/service industry jobs, and tutoring for high school students.

Tutoring high school students isn't that hard, and the money is good :)
